Hi, my name is PJ. I am a Computer Science undergrad at the University of Stellenbosch. I have always been passionate about coding and teaching. Being a tutor allows me to combine these passions and help other people along the way. I have worked with primary, high school, and varsity students. My preferred subjects to teach are Math, Physics, and Computer Science. I have experience in managing students of different ages, ranging from 10 years old to high school students. I am able to teach students in a fun way so that they can explore their curiosity and develop an interest in English. Currently, I am a Year 1 student at the University of Hong Kong. I plan to double major in Computer Science and Mathematics. Therefore, I am qualified to give you college advice and help you with your college applications. My teaching style consists of explaining fundamental concepts and then solving practice questions. This approach has allowed me to help many students achieve their academic goals. Firstly, I will ask you about your weak areas. Then, I will plan my lessons accordingly and conduct tests regularly to measure your academic progress. I have completed the GCE A-levels. Therefore, I am qualified to teach international curriculums such as IGCSE, GCE, IB, and AP. I can teach online as well as in-person at your place. I would prefer it if your location is within a 10 km radius of Kennedy Town.

I am able to empathize with the cognitive process of first-time learners who are learning programming languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, C#, and JavaScript. I accomplish the learning process by: 1. Devising methods to explain programming concepts. 2. Practicing problem sets related to the concepts learned. 3. Highlighting and rectifying common misconceptions and mistakes in practice. 4. Supplementing with self-prepared concise notes to facilitate learning. I have all the necessary tools for the online session to be as effective as the on-site session. I adopt a Khan Academy-style teaching approach for online sessions.

My Computer Science lessons are designed to be interactive, practical, and student-friendly. I focus on building strong fundamentals first, and then move step by step to advanced concepts with real-world applications.

Hello! I'm Willie, a second-year undergraduate student studying Computer Science in the USA. Despite having Korean parents, I spent most of my life in Indonesia and the USA. I enjoy playing sports, especially Ultimate Frisbee and Badminton. As for my qualifications, I scored 7 out of 7 in both Physics and Mathematics in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and scored 35 out of 36 in the ACT standardized test. I am an international student at HKU studying Bachelor of Engineering with a full tuition scholarship and with excellent high school background being 2nd among 180 students and 12th among 1800 students in the high school final exam.
