I graduated with an MA in International History from the Graduate Institute of Geneva (Switzerland) and a BSocSc from the University of Hong Kong. I have experience as a tutor in both Hong Kong, Thailand, and Myanmar, including teaching English to Burmese refugees. My background is IB English but I have tutored IGCSE, TOEFL, SAT English, and IELTS, the latter of which I have achieved an 8.5. I can teach all aspects of the language from grammar, comprehension, and accent reduction in either American or British English. Additionally I have experience in History as well as competitive debate (British + Asian Parliamentary), where I can provide an introductory course.

I specialize in teaching English, math, and science. I am very passionate about teaching and always do my best to implement a positive mindset in my students. I understand students are under a lot of stress sometimes and I aim to accommodate that by curating an approach that is unique to each student. I have had a lot of success in exam preparation with my previous students, I also help with homework and general tutoring throughout the semester. It is vital that the student feels comfortable and confident in the classroom, I do my best to let them know that making mistakes is okay, as it is the way we learn. Being in Bahrain, I am available to teach virtually in light of the current situation. I can teach all the aforementioned subjects from pre-school to the 6th grade. For English however, I can go up to Grade 12. I am also equipped to tutor for official English language exams (e.g. IELTS & TOEFL). Hello! I was born and raised in the Midwest United States. I lived in Prague for 9 years, where I taught English privately to children and adults for 4 years. I also taught at a private Grade School and Kindergarten for 9 years.
