My English teaching experience includes phonics, grammar and math . Located in Chiangmai the class can be hold both at the English club or at students house. My clear American accent started since I was 4 years old while living with my parents in the United States of America, although they are US citizens but I chose to return to Thailand and succeeded my bachelors in Science of Pharmacy from Chiangmai University. As I am a registered pharmacist but teaching brings joy to me every single time, so 4 years of teaching pharmacy students and nearly two years of home tutoring students age 4.5 to 9 years old gave me more and more teaching skills on matters of engagement and core lesson. Induce focus and understanding of the learning is the most important goal of my lesson plan.

My name is Joanita and I am passionate about teaching English. I have taught English to speakers of other languages from France, Italy, Spain and I look forward to using my skills to train young learners to develop their reading, speaking, listening & writing skills. English is not just about learning vocabulary or grammar or sentence structure. It’s about the application of these technicalities into the expression of your ideas and thoughts. In my lessons I try to minimise the technicalities as it becomes dull and boring, however I emphasize the need for it as it’s the basis on which the language is structured. While teaching English online I have used Power Point presentations and other innovative applications such as Padlet, Quizlet, Socrative & Kahoot to make learning fun and interactive. I believe learning is an exchange. There were times when I have learnt a thing or two from my students and I cannot but treasure those Eureka moments when my students have felt they could contribute to the lesson with their own ideas such as using Google docs to share documents or any other innovative learning platform.
