Hello! My name is Judith Serraon, and I am an experienced ESL teacher with 8 years of teaching practice. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with both young learners and adult students, guiding them on their journey to master the English language. Teaching English is more than just my profession—it is my passion and calling. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed in learning English when given encouragement, the right strategies, and a positive environment that builds confidence.
My teaching philosophy is simple yet powerful: learning English should be meaningful, practical, and enjoyable. Over the years, I have witnessed that students learn best when they are actively engaged and feel comfortable expressing themselves. That is why I design my lessons to be interactive, creative, and student-centered. I use a variety of approaches such as role plays, group discussions, games, multimedia activities, and real-life scenarios to make learning both effective and fun. Whether I am teaching children their first English words or helping adults prepare for work, travel, or further education, I always strive to make my lessons relevant and tailored to their goals.
Working with young learners has given me the opportunity to explore creative methods that spark curiosity and excitement. My goal with young learners is not only to teach them English but also to inspire a genuine love for learning that will grow with them over time.
Teaching adults, on the other hand, requires a different approach. With my adult students, I focus on practicality, cultural awareness, and fluency. I provide opportunities for them to practice real-world communication, from business interactions to casual dialogues, and I encourage them to use English with confidence outside the classroom. Seeing their growth and how English helps them achieve their personal or professional goals is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
I am also deeply motivated by the belief that teaching English is not just about language, but also about building bridges across cultures. Through English, students can connect with people from around the world, access new opportunities, and expand their perspectives. I integrate cultural elements into my lessons, encouraging open-mindedness and respect for diversity. This helps students not only improve their language skills but also gain confidence in global communication.
One of my strengths as a teacher is adaptability. Over the past eight years, I have taught students of different ages, proficiency levels, and learning styles. I am able to adjust my teaching strategies to meet their needs, ensuring that each student feels supported and challenged.
