Hi there! My name is Shay and I am a 23 year-old Philosophy major at the prestigious KU Luven in Belgium. I was a Fashion Design major at Istituto Marangoni, London beforehand. Here's a little more about me: - From age 1-4, English was my first language - Attended local prestigious girl's school- St. Paul’s convent school from age 3-15. (Kindergarten-Form 3) -Personal average for English Literature throughout the year remained in top 10s - Attended an international school in Hong Kong for a brief while before my transfer to Australia -Skipped a grade and did year 11 at the mere age of 15 in Australia for a term - Came first in an Advanced English exam in Year 11 - Did German as one of the electives for Year 11 and 12, and manage to remain in the second rank throughout both years. (Hence my enthusiasm and confidence in teaching languages in particular) - Acquired a predicted HSC ATAR score (equivalent to HKDSE/A levels) of 90. (Highest one can achieve is 99.95) - attended The Sydney Institute of Business and Technology which was affiliated with Macquarie university and graduated with a diploma of commerce (GPA 3.88/4) within 1 year( of which the standard study period is 1.5 years) but I got to accelerate throughout the entire course of study hence being able to graduate so soon） - Teaching qualifications: Nothing official as of now, but willing to get one if necessary. - Teaching experiences: scattered experiences in tutoring kids from my neighbourhood since 12 - Started helping out with teaching SEN students at 15 - Scattered Experiences in giving free, leisure basic English classes to elderly students - Languages spoken as of now: English Cantonese Mandarin and German - Can also offer tutoring in: Cantonese, Maths in English (depending on the curriculum), Chinese/World History, English (Language/Literature/Speaking, writing) and art and design
