Experienced English tutor will help you improve your skills and get you ready to pass those exams!
I have been fully qualified teacher since 2005. At the beginning of my career I have taught in various primary schools in Cheshire and Merseyside. Then I taught GCSE English Language and A Level English Literature at a Further Education College in North Wales for seven years. During this time I also worked as a private tutor, specialising in literacy at all levels. I have also tutored many pupils for private school entry and for the 11 plus. I also work as an exam marker for AQA at GCSE and A level for the last seven years, so I have lots of knowledge about how students can improve their grades.
During the summer I has also worked for several years as a language tutor to visiting students from Europe, primarily from Spain and Italy. This experience encouraged me to begin to work online tutoring students in Shanghai who wish to improve their language skills or who want to attend schools in Britain. The standards that these private schools demand is high, so I have lots of experience about how to improve writing, how to brush up grammar and how to complete the verbal reasoning skills that are required.
I have a Master’s degree in Victorian Literature as well as an English Literature Degree from a Russell Group university, so I have a special interest in teaching Literature, which is useful in helping students appreciate the texts that they will study if they come to Britain.
