Hello! My name is Donna, and it will be a pleasure for me to be at your service in terms of helping you improve your English language skills, specifically grammar and writing. Let's have fun and fill our learning with knowledge together.
My name is Vivian. I'm a native English speaker currently studying in Canada at the University of British Columbia. I work with children from ages 4 and older, as well as adults.
I have experience in teaching children and teenagers of all different levels and ages, so everyone is welcome, from kindergarten and elementary school to high school. I have taught a wide variety of students and have also prepared them for exams or tests necessary for acceptance into education or training opportunities. I have the passion, skills, and abilities required.
I look forward to becoming your tutor and helping you throughout your learning experience.
I am earning a bachelor’s of arts in Studio Art and Psychology at the University of Guelph. During this time, I also took writing classes on all genres while reviewing handbooks and developing newsletters for work. I hope to use my knowledge of History, Psychology, as well as Language Arts to go on to teach these subjects to her students. I love to tutor English and writing, all levels of history, spanish, mathematics, psychology, biology and geography. When not reading papers or writing, I enjoy pouring over the latest book with a cup of tea and listening to music, sometimes at the same time.
Former Teacher. Primary/Secondary School Tutoring / Essay editing, ESL, etc.
I previously was a primary school teacher of all subjects (Grades 1&2) for a private international school in Dubai. I now freelance as a private tutor. I have extensive experience with students of all learning levels. English is my first language (I am American). I also have experience tutoring at a higher age (as well as university level). I am an excellent writer and editor and have experience editing research. I have a MSc from UVA and BA from UCLA. I am patient and attentive. I teach several students, but have a fairly flexible schedule.
Hi, I'm Irene! I offer secondary school students ENGLISH LANGUAGE/LITERATURE and HUMANITIES tutorials. These include: *HISTORY *PSYCHOLOGY *THEORY OF KNOWLEDGE and *POLITICS/SOCIAL STUDIES.
NOTE: all my lessons are ONLINE, using ZOOM or SKYPE. As most of my tutorials focus on sharpening essay or writing skills, students collaborate with me on a shared GOOGLE DOC. Students have access to all the notes after the lesson! I also use textbooks (PDF) or work with the student's assigned textbook for their subject.
For local (HKDSE) and international students, my strengths are in preparing students for exams - particularly HKDSE, IB Diploma, IGCSE, and A Level exams - and giving students confidence in their writing and speaking skills!
A little background information:
I have been a private tutor for over 10 YEARS! I used to teach kindergarten and younger students at tutorial centres, but I have found in the last few years that I absolutely love working with young adult students who are finding their passion for subjects and preparing for university. Beyond the class, I recommend TV shows, films, TED Talks, books and further reading on current affairs to give students a holistic understanding of what it means to learn. Learning can be FUN, I promise!
I have a degree in History and Politics from a London university, and also did IGCSE and IB Diploma examinations myself at a Hong Kong international school. I studied HL Psychology, History and English Literature, and my Theory of Knowledge essay was graded as one of the best in the world over two cohorts.

Importantly, my tutorials are NOT formal or stuffy. I am a firm believer that you can thoroughly ENJOY learning, and the act of learning, so long as you're curious about the subject matter.
Please get in touch if this sounds like the kind of learning environment you're looking for! I look forward to hearing from you :)

Prep School / University Style Seminar English Learning in Bangkok
I'm a writing, speech and interview prep teacher who has been working with small private classes and 1-on-1 pupils in Asia since 2015. I help native speakers and second-language learners of all ages and abilities to feel confident in their reading, speaking and writing skills.
In my tuition, we work in a Harkness seminar style, mirroring the format of prep schools and liberal arts colleges in the US, as many of my students are aiming to receive an offer there. The goal is to practice techniques and build confidence in order to be well-prepared when entering these learning settings, where questions and student-led analysis are expected.
Additionally, I have helped many applicants prepare for their university admissions processes, drawing on my experience as a Brown University Alumni interviewer.
I am a South African living and teaching in Hong Kong.
I teach English and Mathematics to upper primary students in an international school.
I received a Bachelor's of Education from UniSA and have several years of hands-on experience in prominent schools.
