I speak French at a native level. It is my primary language followed by English. I also speak a little bit of Spanish and Portuguese. To be honest, I learned French, English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Does this make me a polyglot? In Canada, speaking French and English is considered part of the official languages. Adding Spanish makes a trilingual speaker more versatile. And I added Portuguese to this repertoire of languages. Can I speak them all fluently? Not really, as I have forgotten many important parts of these languages.
