With 12 years of experience as an ex-diplomat and two master's degrees in political science, I offer professional tutoring services in SAT and world history. I have a strong record of helping students reach their academic goals and strive to create a supportive learning environment for all.

Many schools fail to adequately prepare students for high school exams. In the past seven years, I have seen students being expected to analyze unseen fiction and literature without having been trained in how to do this. I have helped many students fill the gap by acquiring the skills needed to succeed in standard assessments in English language and literature, such as the SAT, IB DP, and DSE. I qualified with a Master of Arts in Teaching English Literature and Language from Oxford Brookes University and have a master's level qualification in Teaching English for Academic Purposes from the University of Glasgow. Prior to arriving in Hong Kong, I taught the IB programme at Fairview International School in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and coordinated English lessons at China Medical University in Taichung, Taiwan.

I achieved 4 A* grades for my A-Level exams in Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Additionally, I earned a score of 1500 on the SAT. Furthermore, I obtained a CGPA of 4.0 for STPM. I am proficient in Mandarin, English, and Indian languages for explanations. I have experience tutoring students from various countries, including the USA, UK, Netherlands, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, China, and Singapore, both in colleges and schools. Hi, I am Cyrus. I obtained a Master of Science from the University of California, Berkeley (Ranked #8 in the world). I am an expert Math and Physics tutor for high school exams, including the Quant section of SSAT and SAT. For more ambitious students, I offer tutoring for SAT subject tests in Math and Physics, as well as AP exams in Calculus, Physics, and Economics. Afterwards, I will assign a very small but targeted amount of questions to help solidify your understanding. This way, you will not waste time doing the same type of questions repeatedly. It doesn't matter if you are a student who usually receives B or D grades - my goal is to help you achieve an A*.
