I’m a native Italian speaker based in Hong Kong, and I can help you improve your speaking, writing, listening, vocabulary, and exam/certification preparation. I hold a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance. I’ve been tutoring for more than 5 years, working with students at all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Lessons can be delivered in English and Italian, either online or in person (I’m happy to travel), with flexible scheduling. After an initial assessment of your current level, I provide a short structured foundation using slides over 4–5 lessons to cover the essentials. After that, I typically recommend moving to a modern, practical Italian textbook, while tailoring each lesson to your goals and interests. I am an Italian scientist with long experience (6 years!) living in Hong Kong. I have recently earned a Ph.D. in the field of marine science and currently work at a local university, conducting research in biology and science, as well as fulfilling teaching responsibilities. I would be delighted to assist you in learning the basics of Italian grammar, and provide opportunities for practise writing and speaking in person or online. I am capable of following the content of official Italian textbooks, and I am open to any specific requests, such as focusing on particular exam certificates (e.g., PLIDA) or simply engaging in practice sessions.

Passionate about teaching, I have 12 years of experience in International Schools, teaching Italian GCSE and IBDP at ab initio, B Standard, and Higher levels. I also have 3 years of experience in providing private lessons. I hold a Masters in Engineering and I am a native Italian speaker. Moreover, I am certified to teach Italian as a second language by the University of Perugia. Organization, enthusiasm, and positivity are my strengths. In my lessons, I strive to maximize the use of Italian, depending on the student's starting level. I focus on developing the four skills simultaneously: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I provide resources such as textbooks, workbooks, and worksheets in electronic format. The frequency of lessons depends on the student's objectives. For an intensive course, lessons would be held three times a week. Otherwise, one to two lessons per week ensure steady progress. Lessons can take place in the brilliant, quiet, and natural setting in Sai Kung or at the student's location, depending on their preference and proximity.

I possess a quality for adopting new concepts of studies for teaching. I strive to help students achieve both immediate and long-term goals. My experience as a teacher has enabled me to gain knowledge of child psychology, and I am capable of understanding students' needs and taking appropriate measures accordingly.
