I am a dedicated and experienced tutor specializing in Phonics and Mathematics for kindergarten and primary school students, teaching exclusively online. With over 15 years of tutoring experience and 12 years of teaching English and Mathematics in MOE schools, I bring both classroom expertise and personalized support to help students succeed.
Currently still teaching in MOE schools, I am well-versed in the MOE syllabus and marking schemes, ensuring that my lessons are aligned with school expectations. My students benefit from structured lessons that focus on building both content mastery and exam techniques.
I also run a reading program for Primary 1 and 2 slow readers, helping them develop essential literacy skills at their own pace. As a MOE-trained teacher in supporting students with special needs, I adopt differentiated strategies to ensure every child feels confident and motivated.
In addition, I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham and Spalding approaches, both evidence-based strategies for teaching phonics and reading. These methods are particularly effective for preschool learners and students with special needs, providing them with structured, multisensory ways to strengthen their reading foundations.
My teaching style is supportive, patient, and tailored to each learner. I believe in building strong foundations, nurturing confidence, and helping students develop the skills they need to thrive in both school and beyond.
Maths Tutor by night, Design Engineer by day (Berlin)
Hi there, I'm Hazem! I'm a design engineer who has been working in the automotive industry for quite some time now. When I first graduated, I started my own tutoring journey, teaching university maths and physics to a network of clients that I built through word of mouth. I enjoy teaching because I understand the struggle; I was once a student myself, and I know the frustration of how a lot of times, Maths or Physics just don't make sense. But it just so happens that you need someone who not only understands how the subject works, but also understands what is it that is making YOU find it hard to understand. I can offer that and much more, given not only my academic knowledge and experience, but also my professional engineering career that can be extensively insightful through giving examples and cases in real life of how Maths and Physics work and interact with the real world.
I teach Maths and Physics for high schoolers in grades 10, 11, and 12, as well as first-year university students. I'm based in Berlin, but I offer tutoring online ONLY (sorry about that). English is the language of instruction for all my classes.
Looking forward to helping you learn more and understand better! If you think I offer what you need, don't hesitate to book a class.

Computer Science student teaching Math and Computer Science.
Hi! I’m a dedicated and friendly Computer Science student with a strong background in both Mathematics and Programming. I genuinely enjoy helping others understand complex topics by breaking them down in a clear, patient, and structured way.
Having recently gone through the challenges of learning these subjects myself, I know what it’s like to feel stuck—and how great it feels to finally understand something. That’s why I focus on making lessons interactive, approachable, and tailored to your needs, whether you’re in high school, just starting university, or simply want to learn something new.
My goal is not just to help you pass, but to help you understand—and maybe even enjoy—the subject!
Hello! My name is Njabulo Biyela, and I’m a passionate and results-driven Maths and Science tutor based in Cape Town. With years of tutoring experience and a strong academic background in the sciences, I specialize in helping learners from Grades 10 to 12 build confidence, master complex concepts, and excel in their studies.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit the individual’s pace, needs, and learning style. My approach combines clear explanations, practical examples, and problem-solving strategies that not only prepare learners for exams but also deepen their understanding of the subject matter. Whether it’s tackling tricky equations in Mathematics or breaking down scientific concepts in Physics and Life Sciences, I aim to make learning engaging, accessible, and even enjoyable.
What sets me apart is my dedication to seeing my learners grow—both academically and in their self-belief. Many of my students have gone from struggling with low marks to achieving distinctions, and I take pride in being part of that journey.
If you're looking for a committed, approachable tutor who will go the extra mile to help you succeed, I’d love to work with you.
Winner of multiple national and international Math contests.
Hi! My name is Tim, a second-year student at HKU. I have been teaching math/calculus for around 2 years now. I am a multiple national/international math Olympiad winner.
Hi students! I love to teach math, I know the problems you all are facing while learning , I am dealing with students since 2 years, I am happy to help you as many times you want me to do on a problem with minor details.
The main problem we face in maths is we hesitate to ask the things as it we think we may sound silly in front of all then doubts grow bigger and become gaps. My focus is always moving further only if we are clear with last details.
