I began studying piano, vocal music, and flute at the age of five. During my childhood, I was highly enthusiastic about participating in various performances and competitions. At the age of 17, I completed my piano performance diploma and was awarded a Vocal Scholarship at the Auckland Best of the West Vocal Competition in the same year. Following this achievement, I was invited by the University of Auckland, New Zealand, to pursue a double bachelor’s degree in Music (Honours) and Literature. After graduation, I continued my studies and completed a Master’s degree in Music, majoring in Musicology. After returning to Hong Kong, I obtained a Professional Certificate in Music Therapy and completed a second Master’s degree at Hong Kong Baptist University, majoring in Orchestral Conducting. Throughout my studies, I had the privilege of learning from many renowned teachers, including piano masters Tamas Vermes, Nan Gibson, and Li Ming Qiang; vocal masters Isabel Cunningham, Beatrice Webster, and Dr. Anthony Derek; and flute under Kate Lawson, principal flautist of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. In addition to my diplomas in piano and vocal performance, I hold a teaching certificate (CT ABRSM) from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and I have achieved Grade 8 in Pop Singing from Rockschool. In recent years, I have been actively involved in promoting public music activities, participating in community art performances for charitable causes, and serving as an adjudicator for major music competitions.

I started my music career as a demo singer and backing vocalist. In 2013, I worked as a backing vocalist in pop concerts for artists such as Albert Au and Louis Yuen, among others. That same year, I also began my teaching career in Hong Kong, where I met my first group of students — many of whom have been taking lessons with me for over 10 years. In 2017, I was awarded a Summer Musical Camp Scholarship by Goldsmiths, University of London, for a short-term musical theatre training program. In recent years, I have also been an active vocalist, performing regularly at various live houses and jazz bars.

Hello! I am an experienced English-speaking vocal coach who speaks Cantonese as my second language. I graduated with a vocal degree in Professional Musicianship, where I studied in London. I am now living in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, and teach vocals privately. Lessons are taught at my home, or I can travel to you if you have a piano and are on the Hong Kong Island side. Teaching Vocals (Singing) and Piano for more than 9 years, I acquired my knowledge in Vocals and both Western and Eastern Theory from NAPA (National Academy of Performing Arts). During my time at NAPA, I groomed myself, grasped knowledge, and improved my musical skills. Furthermore, I pursued my education at Berklee College of Music in Boston where I graduated in Vocals and Western Music Theory. Additionally, I studied Audio Engineering at SAE in Dubai. I also completed a Vocals and Ear Training course at Berklee Abu Dhabi and was honored with a fellowship at Berklee College of Music.

My name is Lam Yu Yan Eva. I graduated with First Class Honours in Hotel Management in 2012 and have over 15 years of experience teaching music, having started in 2008. I hold Grade 8 certification in Singing and have helped students develop strong vocal techniques, musicality, and performance confidence. As an enthusiastic and responsible singing teacher, I maintain regular communication with parents to ensure steady learning progress. I use a variety of engaging teaching methods tailored to each student's needs, making lessons both enjoyable and effective. I also encourage students to participate in singing examinations, performances, and competitions to build confidence, gain valuable experience, and stay motivated throughout their musical journey.

I have been cast in various roles, including "Jellylorum" from *Cats*, "Heather Chandler" from *Heathers*, and "Thaddeus" from *Pelagie*. I am making my debut with Crow’s Theatre Canada (Trident Moon) in their 2025 season! Besides performing, I also love sharing my passion for singing through teaching voice. I have been teaching voice to students of all ages and conducting vocal workshops for over 5 years now. I am passionate about nurturing talent and guiding others to discover their voice, finding immense joy in helping students grow both artistically and personally. In the past, I have had various opportunities to perform on stage in musicals, plays, showcases, recitals, and annual concerts, including Beethoven's *No. 9* with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. I also had the opportunity to fly to Singapore and join the Vocal Star Music Talent and Competition. Recently, I was given the chance to perform my first solo with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra (Canada) in their March 2023 season.

I am a professional singer and vocal coach with over 12 years of teaching experience. I trained vocally at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London and earned my master's in music from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. I have worked with a wide range of students, from complete beginners to professional performers. While I have some training in classical technique, my primary focus is on modern styles, including pop, jazz, and musical theatre.

I sing different genres, but theatre songs are my favourite. I can share my talent with you. I've been singing since I was 5, and it is never too late to dream and enhance your passion through singing.
