あなたへの質問

Q: What teaching methods do you use to help students learn Math concepts and solve problems?

Socratic dialog and constructive techniques - learning by doing. I find out the students current level and build off of that adding a little bit at time.

Q: Do you have experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring, and what is your preferred method of communication with students?

Yes, in fact I created an online math teaching platform myself which I sold to a publishing company. I prefer to teach in person but can also teach online. I like using a combination of Zoom and a math whiteboard (free).

Q: What Math topics or concepts are you particularly skilled in teaching, and how do you keep up to date with changes in the curriculum?

Algebra, pre-calculus, and all levels of calculus.

Q: How do you communicate with parents about their child's progress and any challenges they may be facing in learning Math?

After every lesson I like to update the parent on the progress of the student and the areas we need to attack in future lessons.

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or materials to supplement your lessons, such as practice exercises or online tutorials?

I come up with them as needed depending on the student and what their deficiences might be.

Q: What is your approach to homework assignments, and how do you ensure students understand the concepts covered in class?

Homework is very important. In fact, students working out problems themselves is the most important thing. Mistakes are welcome as that is how we learn and how I know where the students need more help

Q: What steps do you take to ensure that your teaching approach is compatible with the student's learning style?

There's one way to learn math. Doing problems and making mistakes. My job is to add to the students toolset a little bit at time and take away any fear and hesitancy students may have and make the learning process rewarding and fun.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning disabilities or special needs, and how do you adapt your teaching methods to accommodate their needs?

I've helped students with ADHD. I'm particularly suited to help these types of students as they are creative and usually good at problem solving.
