Hi! My name is Isabella, and I'm a current Year 2 student studying medicine at HKU. I'm a native Mandarin speaker, and I offer Mandarin lessons for people ranging from beginner to advanced level!

Growing up, I've lived in many different cities, including ones in Mainland China, Australia, and Hong Kong. Having spent most of my adolescent years in China, I'm well familiarized with not only the formal and professional usage of Chinese but also the usage of this language in more casual and daily life settings.

Apart from that, what sets me apart is that I'm also a native English speaker. Therefore, I'm able to carry out efficient communication during our studying process.

I believe the best way to learn a foreign language is through daily topics with which the student can resonate, such as pop culture, songs, movies, and so on. Therefore, I like to use these more "interesting" and relevant topics to start off with.

I also think that the grammatical and practical differences between languages are important when learning foreign languages. Therefore, I would also highlight the different usage of certain sentence formats, grammar, vocabulary, etc. 続きを読む
