I have been teaching English as a second language to students in Thailand for 4 years. During my time as an English teacher, I have taught students of all ages, from grade 1 to adult business professionals. My main areas of focus are English for communication and standardized exam preparation (IELTS/TOIEC/CUTEP). I make use of the direct method quite frequently when teaching, especially when teaching online. This is because translation is not allowed, forcing the learner to think and communicate in English, which is the ultimate outcome the teacher should aim for. I think it's extremely important for students to only communicate in English when they are learning the language. In addition, I also utilize various games (such as tongue twisters), online applications (e.g., Kahoot!), and relevant teaching materials that match students' interests. 続きを読む
