Hello, my name is Cordelia. I feel comfortable traveling to your home to have our lessons, or our lessons can be online. I have over 9 years of teaching ESL, in both an online classroom, in person on an individual basis, and in a general classroom setting. My skillset is geared toward younger students, such as Kindergarten/Preschool, as well as elementary level students. I have also taught adults in Business English, as well as Medical and Legal English. In addition to my B.Ed, I have plans to further my knowledge by continuing my education in pursuing my Masters. I know that with my background and interest in helping all of my students reach their English speaking goals, I am a good fit for teaching in a variety of settings. My volunteer work throughout the past several years has confirmed my interest in and dedication to education, for both children and adults alike. While I have been a substitute teacher in the Tulsa Public School system, I’ve learned a lot about child development by caring for children, specifically through the elementary school years. During this time, I had the opportunity to observe student and teacher roles and a variety of teaching techniques. I believe these skills will become an asset to any institution where I find myself. Conversational English is one thing that I specialize in and have enjoyed using in practice with my current students. Start small and build from the bottom up.
