Q: What age range of students do you usually work with?

I am experienced from students of different age, varies from age of 3 to 80. I specialised on teaching pre-school age and help them to get into ideal primary school. I also teach retired elderly for leisure as well as working teachers for improving tectonics.

Q: How do you approach lesson planning and preparation?

I have set lesson plan based on Alfred basic piano courses plus extra materials as the students are at different levels and grades. Others like Beyer, A Dozen a day and Everybody can also help building up good fundamental for beginners. For move by up higher levels, other repertoires from different composers like Burgmuller op100 and Bach first lesson are very useful for students to develope mature skills.

Students are free to send me videos after lessons so I can correct their mistakes before next lesson and to build their regular practice habit. I also provide a practice chart for students to fill and exchange for rewards.

Q: Do you provide regular homework and assignments, and how do you review and provide feedback on student work?

I follow alfred basic piano courses and we have weekly theory homework as well as pieces to be completed. Usually students will have one technical exercise, one new piece and one half done piece each lesson.
