I employ teaching methods that will cater the type of students I'm dealing with. The best way to know your students is to ask them. For example, I would ask what his/her interests. If his/her interest can be a bridge to understand a lesson, then I will formulate activities which will pique his/her motivation to learn. Another thing is that, to ensure a full understanding of a topic I always prepare repetitive and higher order thinking skills questions.
