Hi, I'm Tiffany! I have worked abroad teaching English as a private tutor in Hong Kong and Taiwan. More recently, I have also worked at Oxford Learning Centre as an English and math teacher. I have graduated with a 4.0 CGPA for my Liberal Arts diploma and am currently working on a dual degree in Humanities and Anthropology at York University. From my educational journey, I have accumulated many tips and tricks to help comprehend readings, remember material as well as quickly write a well rounded essay. My courses are research intensive and mostly essay based, thus I have confidence in my reading and comprehension skills. I have extensive experience as both a tutor, as well as the one being tutored. When I was young, I went to an after-school tutor five days of the week -sometimes meeting two tutors per day. Therefore, I truly understand both sides of the coin. I hope to apply my personal tutoring experience to enhance the learning journey. I beleive in a student oriented teaching plan, hence, the student will set the subject and pace we go at. I believe in letting the student set the tone and pace for each lesson. Whatever they are unsure of in school should be reviewed and revised. On the other hand, if they are knowledgeable of their current learning material, then it would be a good idea to preview what would be covered in school later on. I hope build up the students' confidence in both their oral and written skills. The students' need and goals will be the center of what each lesson is built around. 続きを読む
