Hello! My name is Mariella, and I'm from South Africa. I now live in Discovery Bay, Hong Kong. I am bilingual in English and Afrikaans, but I can also speak and understand basic French, Italian, Dutch, and Flemish. I studied Ba. Humanities with majors in Sociology, Psychology, and French. During my time as a student, I began by tutoring first-year French, which I thoroughly enjoyed. After graduating from university, I provided private English tutoring to a family in France and then to a family in Italy. I am TELF certified. Teaching and tutoring English to young children brings me great joy. My approach involves teaching through play. By engaging in play and interacting with children, while creating an English-speaking environment, I find that they develop a greater desire to learn.
