My name is Ryan. I am an American living in my wife’s hometown, Seoul. For nearly 10 years, I taught English in private academies after receiving a Cambridge CELTA. During those 10 years, I taught a wide variety of lessons and age groups and also learned Korean. I hold a TOPIK Level 3 certification. Learning a language takes time and discipline; more than attending group classes or trying to read a Korean book, I found it helpful to carefully review my mistakes and pay close attention to phrases and meanings. In my lessons, we will study common phrases and standard rules while also learning to use our lesson material in intuitive contexts—everything from ordering food to asking about specific items.
