Hi, I am an qualified teacher with specialisation in remedial teaching. I have over 10 years of experience. I teach English to primary and secondary school subjects and help improve writing, comprehension and support with study skills. I am based in Cape Town and willing to travel up to 15 kilometres to your destination for tutoring. I have taught in South Africa and in the UK and am passionate about helping children who have barriers to learning or just requires that extra support to do their best. I use different ways of teaching to suit your child's needs and how they learn best.

Having many years of experience with students from different cultural backgrounds and ages, I can customize lessons according to their needs. My youngest students are as young as 5, and the oldest is 55. My strongest skill is communication. I can even teach beginners with minimal English knowledge. Hello, my name is Jaclyn. I grew up in Cambridge, UK since I was a young child with my family and moved to Hong Kong 4 years ago to pursue a teaching career. I have been teaching in Hong Kong for 4 years. I am a holder of a BA in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Essex in England, a MA in Psycholinguistics, also from University of Essex. I am currently reading a Postgraduate Diploma in Education as part of my career advancement. I have taught as a NET in a band one Christian secondary school, teaching centre for pre-primary, and am currently at a local primary school. I am specialised in phonics, writing, and Cambridge English.
