I have teaching experience in the first - second, and third-grade levels. I believe my teaching experience and passion for community engagement make me an ideal tutor. I have worked in the UAE for 13 years and although it was a challenge to teach the English language to these children, it was the most exciting and memorable time of my life. I not only gave them knowledge but I have learnt so much from them and this is why I am so passionate about being a teacher. I have lots of experience incorporating community service projects into my classrooms. For example, as a grade teacher, I led a unit for first-graders on plant life, and we planted plants and trees at our school community garden. Hello, my name is Glaiza. My teaching experience covers a wide array of subjects, levels and venues. I have taught both children and adults. I have had the pleasure to travel and lived abroad, specifically in some European countries. This has given me an understanding of the challenges of traveling and living in a country where the language spoken is not your own. It has also provided me with first-hand knowledge of the language skills needed to live, work, or travel abroad. Now I’m currently teaching in Preply, this is an online marketplace where tutors can connect with students and my students are from different countries and nationalities like Russians, Europeans, South American, and Asians. I am also doing a part time job in a Japanese ESL company where I teach Japanese business adult students. My English specialties are: Basic, Intermediate, Business and Casual English.
