Hello! I'm Jodi, I am based in Cape Town and I have been a teacher for three years. I have a passion for teaching and helping my students recognise and achieve their goals. I have taught primary (English, Math and Social Studies) and high school (English) so I have a broad knowledge of English. I spent my first two years teaching in the Middle East and my last in South Africa. This has taught me how to teach in a way that is catered to the student's needs. My name is Emily - I'm an MFA student in an interactive media arts program in Brooklyn with an MA in Theatre History and Criticism and undergraduate degrees in Comparative Literature and French. I am active in the arts scene in New York and in the broader academic scene in the states, having presented at conferences along the East Coast. I am an experienced writer in all types of different styles and am comfortable with both creative and professional content, so I would love to help with essays or creative writing assignments (I am weirdly excited by new projects of that kind). Additionally, I do SAT / GRE (etc.) verbal sections, as I scored well but understand how foreign these tests can feel at times. I'm also an experienced English as second (or third or fourth) language teacher and would be interested in working with students in this context, especially French speakers as I am an advanced learner French myself. Hello, I am an ESL tutor holding a B.A. in Teaching English with 22 years of experience teaching at elementary, secondary, and high schools. Additionally, I was awarded a 290-hour Master TEFL certificate (CELTA Level) by Premier TEFL in the UK. Through this certificate, I specialized in Business and General English, exam preparation for IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, conversation lessons, reading and writing, pronunciation, and online teaching English to young learners. Hi. I am Jan Leibovitz Alloy. Am an editor, writer, and tutor, working primarily with high school students on English, reading, and writing. I have also taught English and Interpersonal Communications at the college level. Have taught preschools as well and love to work one-on-one with students who love to learn. I have written two books, including a historical field guide to Michigan, and currently am editing short stories and a nonfiction book for publication.
