Hi everyone! My name is Violet. I am currently a full time tutor. I have been tutoring children, teens and adults for the past 8 years. I have experience in tutoring students from the mainstream school and SEN settings in a wide range of subjects, such as English (kindergarten to adults), English Literature (MYP to IB) and psychology (IGCSE, IB/A Levels to university). I previously worked as a full-time ABA SEN teacher. I graduated from Swansea University and the University of Exeter with degrees in psychology (GPA 4.0). I am also a native English speaker as I had studied in an international school since nursery (Yew Chung International School). Because each student’s learning ability is unique, I do personalise teaching materials based on the student’s strengths and weaknesses. I graduated with an MA in International History from the Graduate Institute of Geneva (Switzerland) and a BSocSc from the University of Hong Kong. I have experience as a tutor in both Hong Kong, Thailand, and Myanmar, including teaching English to Burmese refugees. My background is IB English but I have tutored IGCSE, TOEFL, SAT English, and IELTS, the latter of which I have achieved an 8.5.
