My name is Stanley, and I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The intensive training I received during my time in university has strengthened my capabilities in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Science. With four years of experience tutoring Science and Mathematics in both the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) curriculum, I am confident in my ability to deliver quality and inspiring learning experiences to individual students with patience and care. After working at DSO National Laboratories as a research engineer, I worked in Japan as a teacher for 3 years. I am able to teach Math, Science, and English confidently to a Sec 4 level, as well as help with IB projects such as IA, EE, and Philosophy, as I have participated in the IB program and have previously coached students struggling in those departments.

I matriculation with a bachelor's pass which included an additional subject. I then went on to study at the University of Cape Town where I took elective courses in mathematics and statistics. I know what it feels like to struggle to understand maths because maths wasn't always smooth sailing for me. I believe that everyone is capable of succeeding with the right guidance and support. I want to be that support that helps you overcome the obstacles in your way of reaching your academic goals. Mathematics is a core subject which is why I specializes and purely focus on tutoring maths. I am based in Cape Town and offer both tutoring at my home or online, for those of you who can't attend in person sessions.

Mathematics has always been in my blood. My outstanding marks at primary, high school, and university attest to that. Since the time I graduated from university, teaching and tutoring Maths has always been my form of entertainment. I completed the first phase of my high school (O'level Cambridge Exam board - 4 years) and then I went on to do the Science stream at A'level (the last 2 years of high school, which I will refer to as Grade 12 and Grade 13 if you are writing exams set by Cambridge). In A'level, I studied Pure Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics. After that, I enrolled at university in the Faculty of Applied Sciences and studied for a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics for 4 years. I obtained a 1.1 pass. Since then, I have gained vast experience in teaching and tutoring Maths at both the high school and tertiary levels. I am familiar with virtually all the syllabuses, including Caps, IEB, Cambridge, and university modules.
