I am Tutor Brian, and I obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) upon completing the Newcastle UK MBBS programme at Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia. I received the NCL+ Award (for extra-curricular activities) and the 5th year Merit Award for being in the top 10% of the medical student cohort. Additionally, I was a recipient of the Malaysian Public Service Department (JPA) Scholarship. For the A-Level exams, I scored 4A*s and was awarded the Outstanding Cambridge Learner for 3 categories - Top in the world for AS Mathematics, A2 Mathematics, and A2 Chemistry. Between graduating and the commencement of my housemanship training, I worked as a teaching fellow at my university, where I assisted in delivering medical education under various settings such as clinical bedside and seminars. I was able to explore different teaching methods that suited each setting and was also involved in planning the sessions and preparation of course materials, with a special interest in creating visual/interactive learning materials. Currently, I am able to tutor for IGCSE, IBDP & A Level Physics, Math, Add Math, Biology, and Chemistry.

I've been tutoring and teaching math and physics for over 8 years at high school and college levels.

The main subject I teach is Physics at any international curriculum (AP/IB/A-level). I majored, and graduated with Applied Physics major in Aug. 2021 at HKUST. During the time I was an undergraduate, I have been consistently doing tutoring job (7+ years experience). Other than Physics, I can also teach Mathematics and Computer Science too.

I have taught A-Level Physics for over thirty years in sixth forms in London and Southeast Asia. I am passionate about the subject and have vast experience in preparing students for examinations.

I am a university student studying Engineering in Hong Kong. I have grown up here and traveled to Singapore as well as India, so I am aware of the different ways people teach, as well as how effective they are based on each student. Finding the right method to help each student understand Math and/or Physics is necessary for them to have a good grasp on the subject, and I believe I do a good job at that. I have experience dealing with various students who learn in different ways and styles, but with some guidance from me, they have gone ahead to do well in their respective assessments.

I have 7 years of work experience in teaching Physics: 5 years in regular EP programs at the secondary and higher secondary levels, and 2 years teaching Physics from Grade 9 to Grade 12. I am highly passionate and efficient in tutoring having tutored primary as well as secondary school students in all three sciences and maths. I am extremely passionate with regard to what I teach. As a fresh graduate of the International Baccalaureate diploma (predicted 45/45), I know exactly what it takes for each student to reach a certain level of attainment and how to assist them in achieving their goals.

I began my career as a Physics Teacher in Wisconsin before relocating to Germany for 2 years to work as a Science Teacher for an international school. After moving home and completing my Master of High School Education, I joined Pentz High School in Ohio as Physics Teacher. As well as the planning and delivery of high-quality teaching in physical and virtual settings, I am experienced in administering and evaluating assessments in preparation for examinations. I employ a range of traditional and progressive methodology, incorporating experiential learning opportunities whenever possible. I see myself as an educator, not just a teacher. I encourage students to question their actions, the way that others live, and how we can use our knowledge to question the choices we make. I foster collaborations with school leadership and fellow teachers that promote a flexible, supportive, and dynamic learning environment. I am delighted by the 93% average pass rate that my classes achieve. In addition to my experience and Master degree, I hold a Bachelor of Education (Physics) and am a Google Certified Educator (Levels 1 and 2).

I am currently a Year 1 student at The University of Hong Kong doing a double-degree in Engineering and Business. I can teach English, French, Maths, and Physics. Since I live in Kowloon and study in Hong Kong Island, I can teach in both locations.
