Having a background in teaching distance learning courses, the most effective way to keep students engaged for me is to use TPR coupled with high energy and peer to peer interaction. I will always ask the students to "give me a high five" or act out certain words of phrases like "jump, let me see you jump." Keeping the student physically engaged throughout the entire lesson is the key to providing highly effective courses. Read less
