Hello!

I am Sarah. Teaching students how to express themselves effectively is my passion in life. I have been tutoring English at the advanced level for students at the Junior High through High School level for the last five years. I am currently earning my teaching degree in Special Education (mild to moderate learning disabilities). I enjoy working with students at all learning levels; I believe that any student can improve his/her communication skills. In this world where a concisely written email, or an effective tagline can be the difference between being heard or sinking into the crowd, it is my belief that proficient writing skills have become more vital than ever. It is essential that my students are equipped with a toolbox of writing skills to be able to quickly and effectively communicate ideas in any situation. These basic tools can be expanded to meet the needs of any length assignment.

We work on reviewing basic grammar, sentence structure, and organization to ensure that students have a solid foundation to build upon. Then we will move through the qualitative elements of writing such as rhetoric, ethos, pathos, and logos.
