I am Carmela Joyce Pendon Samson from the Philippines, and I graduated from Notre Dame of Midsayap College, one of the great Catholic schools in North Cotabato, Philippines. It is the first Notre Dame School in Asia with a Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English and a consistent Dean's Lister.

During my fourth year in college, I was employed as a Pre-service teacher at Notre Dame of Midsayap College - Integrated Basic Education Department. My student-teaching experiences allowed me to assume all the responsibilities of a high school teacher at multiple levels. I was also assigned to Sadaan Elementary School and Lt. Andres Calungsod Elementary School as a substitute teacher for three months in Grades 2 and 3. I have also been a tutor for a Grade 7 pupil at Notre Dame of Parang for a year. Currently, I am teaching at Anubannangrong, Buriram, Thailand, as an English Communication Development teacher.

Being in the field of teaching and learning processes for the past years has equipped me to contribute effectively to a much larger community. It has also helped me develop a deeper understanding of diverse learning needs, adapt to different teaching strategies, and foster meaningful connections with students.

Furthermore, the experiences I have gained have enhanced my ability to create an engaging learning environment and ensure that learners achieve their full potential. The field of teaching has taught me to be committed and dedicated to working long hours, at any time required by work itself. I am confident that my skills, knowledge, and experiences in my foremost discipline would be excellent in helping students achieve their potential in learning English in the best way. Read less

As a teacher, it is best to know your students first. Allow yourself to assess the students' ability to grasp the lesson in various ways. There are active learning techniques, differentiated instruction, and even personalized learning. I am used to applying different types of methods and approaches at first, then sticking with the method where they can learn best. It is a matter of tailoring instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of every student. Read less
