I am a fully qualified and passionate English educator dedicated to helping young learners in Hong Kong build confidence, strong foundational skills, and a genuine love for the English language.

My Qualifications & Experience

I hold a UK Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) — a professional teaching qualification that has been officially assessed and verified by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ). This means my credentials meet the rigorous standards required for teacher registration in Hong Kong. I also hold an Advanced TESOL Certification, specializing in teaching English to young learners.

With over 6 years of teaching experience within Hong Kong's diverse educational landscape — including roles in local primary schools and international programs — I have developed a deep understanding of how to support students aged 2-12 in their English language journey. I have worked extensively with children from Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking backgrounds, helping them build phonics skills, reading fluency, creative writing abilities, and oral confidence.

I specialize in working with:

Early Learners (Ages 2-5): Play-based phonics, pre-reading skills, vocabulary building through stories and songs

Primary Students (Ages 6-12): Reading comprehension, creative and academic writing, grammar foundations, oral presentation skills, and school curriculum support

Where I Teach:

I am based in Tai Po and travel regularly to Hong Kong Island and Kowloon Tong for in-person sessions. Online lessons are also available via Zoom for families who prefer remote learning.
