Questions for You

Q: What areas of Chemistry do you specialize in, and what level of Chemistry do you usually teach?

I teach organic, inorganic, and aphysical chemistry with specialization in Organic chemistry. I teach GCSE, IB, A level, AP Chem, CBSE and graduate and post graduate level students.

Q: What types of resources or technology do you use to support your Chemistry lessons?

I teach by presentations, writing concepts and mechanisms during the class, and also by giving questions after each session.

Q: How do you approach teaching Chemistry concepts to students who may struggle with Chemistry?

I always start with basic and build further concepts so that students remember, they enjoy and connect with chemistry.

Q: Do you have experience with laboratory experiments, and how do you incorporate these into your Chemistry lessons?

I have Industrial experience so like to give real time exmples to students during class. Similarly, I have worked with most of the analytical techniques myself so give real handson examples so that students remember. Laboratory experiments are critical as seeing is beleiving, so I focus on lab work alot.

Q: What is your approach to teaching organic chemistry, and how do you make the subject engaging and accessible for students?

Organic chemistry is my seciality. My observation is students struglle with organic chemistry as it is slightly different topic compare to physical and inorganic where in its equations and memorization. But in organic their are mechnisms so if student do not understand fundamentals, electron movements and practise with expert its a challenge. So I teach organic chemistry with all the mechanisms, practise, homework and really hands on writing resonance etc so that students are able to see the movement of electrons and relate themselves to it.

Q: How do you help students prepare for chemistry competitions, college applications, or other academic opportunities in chemistry?

I prepare students on fundamentals and then we practise questions in class along with homework. I start with simple questions and build complexity as time proceeds. Fundamentals and practise is the key.
