Qualified ESL Teacher with International Experience
Hi! I am a fully qualified and internationally experienced ESL teacher. I grew up in Auckland, studied in Wellington and have taught English in Spain, Colombia, Vietnam and Singapore, as well as online. I have a Bachelor's degree with Honours in Spanish and a minor in Linguistics, as well as a Cambridge CELTA internationally recognised ESL teaching qualification. I am culturally aware and interested, and if you are a Spanish speaker, I can give you support in Spanish. Having lived abroad for nearly 5 years, I am always interested in meeting people from elsewhere. I know the feeling of being a foreigner! I have also worked extensively with children. I know how to keep them interested and help them feel comfortable. I have recently come back to New Zealand and am looking for online students! Hope to meet you soon :)

Learning English grammar is important as it provides a foundation for effective communication in the language. A solid understanding of grammar rules can help you speak and write English more accurately and fluently.

👉 How can I improve my English pronunciation?

To improve your English pronunciation, you can listen to native English speakers, practice speaking with pronunciation exercises, and use pronunciation learning apps like English Pronunciation Pro. You can also take pronunciation classes or hire a tutor for more personalized instruction.

👉 Can I learn English on my own or is it better to take classes?

Both self-study and taking classes have their advantages and disadvantages. Self-study allows for a flexible schedule and can be more cost-effective, but can also lack the structure and accountability of a classroom setting. Taking classes provides a structured learning environment, the opportunity to ask questions, and the chance to practice speaking with other students.
