My name is Jeanne Alamenhe and I am currently a student at the University of the Witwatersrand, studying BHSc: Biomedical Science. In addition to my studies, I am also an experienced high school mathematics and accounting tutor based in Roodepoort. I have always had a passion for learning. I find joy in the challenge of solving complex problems and I am constantly seeking creative and simple solutions. I feel fulfilled when I am able to help others, especially children, develop an understanding and appreciation for the subjects they study. I have been tutoring for 4 years, focusing primarily on mathematics for high school students. My tutoring experience began at my high school, where I participated in a volunteering initiative for older students to tutor younger students in mathematics. Through this initiative, I gained experience tutoring mathematics up to matric level. I have also independently tutored three grade 8 students in Mathematics, Afrikaans, Natural Science, and Accounting. I consider myself a patient and perceptive individual, which has allowed me to observe how students approach learning. My tutoring experience has equipped me with the skills to tailor my teaching methods to best support the student's learning style, while keeping the sessions engaging and interactive. I am a diligent worker and always prepare lessons in advance to ensure that tutoring time is used optimally.
