I am a BSc Applied Mathematics and Statistics student at the University of Johannesburg, with a passion for making maths accessible to all learners. I provide personalised one-on-one tutoring for Grade 8–12 learners in Mathematics, Statistics, and related subjects. My approach focuses on real understanding rather than memorisation—giving students confidence and helping them improve their results. I speak English, Afrikaans, and isiZulu fluently, so I can explain concepts in the language the student is most comfortable with. Face-to-face sessions are available throughout the East Rand, and online sessions are available nationwide.

I am Avin, a scholarship student at the University of Hong Kong, studying Science. I teach Mathematics and Sciences(Biology, Chemisry and Physics) at all levels within most secondary qualifications. I am based in Pok Fu Lam, but I am happy to go anywhere to help a student in need! I focus on developing an intrinsic passion for the subjects I teach, helping the students develop their own unique reasoning to solve tricky, unexpected problems they may face in the exam. I am patient, and wouldn't impose a specific method on students, encouraging them to develop methods that they feel comfortable with(its already so hard to study a subject you struggle with, I hope to make it easier). As a student myself, I can find I can relate to fellow students better and indentify and satisfy their problems which arent fully addressed through school. This means I am much more efficent at helping students overcome problems when they study.
