Teaching Accounting at both Undergraduate and Secondary levels has thoroughly refined my knowledge and command over the subject. Consider an academic session that starts from the very basic concepts of Double Entry book keeping and ends with the preparation of Financial Statements (including Consolidated Statements for Groups). Faculty is also required to design challenging assignments, conduct presentations & group activities and set tough term papers. The CFA credentials have not only given me core and detailed knowledge over the subject of Finance, the program entails developing high quality analytical skills. These skills should be transferred to students who are to compete in a dynamic environment. Financial Analysis has to be supplemented with Accounting knowledge. One must understand the data he is expected to analyze. The job of a teacher is to show the way and make it as easy as possible for students to follow it.
