Hello! I am a newly graduated medical doctor who has just moved to Hamburg to hopefully practice here one day. In the meanwhile as I'm learning German, I have been tutoring students in Biology, Chemistry and other science subjects in a broad spectrum of fields at different levels. I teach all subjects in English since I was a medical student with 2 years of experience now. My main goal is to find the best method for you to learn and I like to try many different ways to spice things up and keep students hungry with interest! I have almost 10 years of tutoring experience. I started tutoring since I was in grade 11. I have tutored students at the level of middle school, high school, university (undergraduate), and medical school. I am very focused and goal-oriented and like to finish the lessons/assignments in a given time period, while at the same time engaging the students and making sure they understand the concept(s) thoroughly. The students are generally very satisfied with my tutoring techniques and describe me as a very calm and thorough tutor.

I am friendly and an open minded person, with a strong believe in commitment and respect. I am approached by foreign students, who are in the process of receiving their degrees (public health, biomedical sciences, etc) or need help in their assignments. In addition, I love to design science/biology projects for students, including International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), and help how to write internal assessment (IA), IB extended essays (EE), research proposals, synopsis, research articles or individual fellowships proposals in the areas of medical, plant and life sciences.

Stop the Brain Freeze! I am Pragya Sharma! I graduated in Biochemistry (Honours) from Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi. I further went on to pursue my master’s degree in Medical Biochemistry from Jamia Hamdard, Delhi. I am currently pursuing Doctorate in Biological Sciences from Queen’s University, Belfast, United Kingdom. During all these years I realised that the classes I appreciated most were not necessarily the topics I was most interested in, rather it was the professors who made the classes enjoyable and interesting. All these professors had one thing in common, they were always engaging and comprehensible when teaching and moreover were willing to go an extra mile when asked for additional help and clarification. I will carry the same approach and knowledge to my tutoring sessions and do everything to make learning a pleasant experience. I use lesson plans in which I usually introduce the topic in a fun and creative way, then explicitly teaching the material. The biggest strategy I strictly adhere in my sessions is “Revise the old; learn the new”. Of course, this method can be adjusted based on the subject and the student’s individual needs. I currently demonstrate on module for biomedical science and in total have eight years of tutoring experience. I want to benefit the students I work with best of my capabilities therefore, I am open to any additional resources and suggestions from both students and parents. I was awarded an A+ at the end of my school career and was awarded for Biology in Grade 12. I graduated from NMMU with a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Biochemistry and Microbiology in 2005. Name is Brite Mphuthi and I am a 26-year-old University student. I am currently studying at the University of Cape Town, majoring in Genetics and Biochemistry. I am also an Academic coordinator and Tutor leader. Teaching is not a past time for me is something I am passionate about. Seeing someone understand and grasp what was a difficult concept is what brings a smile on my face. Knowledge is power.

As a tutor, I strive to provide students with tools to learn how to study for various courses in a way that best suits their learning style. With a passion for science communication and personalized learning, I am happy to offer tutoring in biology - my specialties are in Cell Biology, Physiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, and Neurosciences (I was the top student in most of these subjects)! So, what credentials do I have? I am a thesis student, completing studies in Biomedical Science at Ryerson University, with a minor in psychology. For nearly two years, I have been working as a research assistant in cancer cell biology. I have won numerous awards for my research presentations and have been an invited speaker to events in the GTA. From as early as high school, I was involved in tutoring and acting as an assistant teacher for both music and science courses. I love learning, and enjoy courses involving cell biology and physiology, subjects of which I currently tutor as a group and private instructor at Ryerson University. I also tutor these subjects and run study sessions for the Ryerson Science Society. I am located in Toronto and offer online or in-person sessions.
