Hong Kong Island AP Geography Tutor.
I am an educator and health consultant who enjoys helping people make sense of complex ideas, whether in the classroom or in everyday life. My background in international affairs, health communication, and social science gives me a broad perspective on how culture, policy, and human behavior intersect. My work with families and communities around health, aging, and well-being has shaped the way I teach subjects like psychology and human geography.
I draw on real-world experience studying how demographic shifts and population aging influence communities, economies, and healthcare systems, and I incorporate those insights to make lessons relevant and engaging.
In AP Psychology, I connect topics in cognitive health, biological processes, and mental wellness to the bigger picture of how we live and care for ourselves and others. My goal is to help students see the connections between what they’re learning and the world around them so they can think critically, write clearly, and communicate their ideas with confidence.
My AP Psychology and AP Human Geography classes strike a balance between academic rigor and engaging, real-world learning. I emphasize active learning, critical thinking, and knowledge mastery, helping students not only understand the material but also retain and apply it with confidence.
In AP Psychology, we explore key theories and experiments through interactive lessons, case studies, and regular knowledge checks. Students are encouraged to think critically about behavior, cognition, and mental health, while testing and retesting concepts throughout the year to build lasting retention. Drawing on my professional experience in physical and mental health consulting, I also bring real-world perspectives into discussions on cognitive health, psychological disorders, and the biological bases of behavior.
In AP Human Geography, we connect abstract concepts to global and local phenomena, discussing urbanization, cultural patterns, migration, and environmental challenges. I help students examine why these topics matter and how demographic and policy shifts shape societies. My background in international affairs allows me to integrate insights from history, political science, and social science—including my research on how aging populations influence human geography.
Because both courses feature multiple-choice and essay components, I work closely with students to strengthen their academic writing skills. We focus on making strong claims, using evidence effectively, and writing clearly and concisely—skills that prepare them for university-level success.
Every class is designed to make complex ideas accessible, relevant, and memorable, inspiring students to see connections between classroom material and the real world.
