Teaching Experience: 18 years as a Mathematics & Additional Mathematics Tutor. 10 years working as a School Teacher teaching Additional Mathematics, consistently producing 60 to 70% A and A* students every year. Over the span of 10 years, more than 10 students achieved the Cambridge Top in the World for the IGCSE Additional Mathematics subject.

As an undergraduate Biochemistry student at Imperial College London, I gradually started to feel that Maths is undoubtedly a very important skill in multiple areas. It is very important for us to build a robust foundation early on in order to support higher education in the future. Working with Kumon as a tutor, during 2016-2017, has helped me consolidate my ambition of making a difference in others’ lives. I have taught students (age 5-16) in order to support them outside their curriculum. While I was trained to be efficient, systematic and responsible, it was inspiring to see my students’ excel in their education and I was fulfilled by their achievements. I believe that bringing happiness and satisfaction to others is a worthwhile pursuit. Throughout the year, I was able to apply my time-management skills due to a great degree of freedom offered by my instructor. I designed timeslots on a monthly basis and assigned tasks to my colleagues based on their ability.
