I started as a teacher of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) to adults in the UK for 7 years before coming to Hong Kong, where I have taught in the local school system as a NET, as well as in tutorial centers. I have a proven track record in teaching ESOL, English (as a first language), and History. I provide in-person and online training and encouragement to improve student self-confidence, study habits, and time management. I have helped students achieve greater academic success and independent learning through effective learning techniques which led to 100% of students scoring either grade 9 or 8 at GCSE, A at A Level, and 90% of students being offered a place at the school of their choice. Hi! I'm Ms. Isabel. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from one of the top-leading universities in the country. Even before my university days, I have since worked as a 1-on-1 tutor for students (ranging from 6th grade to high school) in the subjects of Social Science, History and English, and have also had my time teaching at public institutions and communities outside the metro. I have also attended writing workshops for creative writing, as well as participated in local writing contests. Hi! I am a Canadian citizen who has lived and worked in Thailand for the last 25 years. I was a criminal law trial lawyer and Federal drug prosecutor in Canada before moving to Thailand to become an educator. My Canadian university degrees are in Political Science (with a minor in English Literature) and Law. My teaching experience in Thailand includes the following: Assumption University (ABAC) * Lecturer and Deputy Director of the Institute for English Language Education (Assumption University). * Co-founder of the 'English for Law Students' program, a joint project between IELE and the Faculty of Law. Ramkhamhaeng University (Bangkok) * Adjunct Professor (Part-time)- MA level Political Science lecturer. National Institute for Development Administration (NIDA) * Part-time lecturer in the Faculty of Law (MA level). I also have experience with individual and small group lessons for professionals (lawyers, nurses, bank employees, high school and university students).
