I am a proud South African and reside in Durbanville, Cape Town, South Africa.
I love the outdoors, nature and am a passionate animal lover. We as the caretakers of Earth have to preserve all forms of life, and must pursue the sustainablity of our planet. My interests are Photography and cars, currently building a Nissan Skyline for motor racing.
I have been in education for many years, having taught at underprivileged as well as wealthy private schools. my greatest teaching experience is when I had the priviledge of teaching students with severe learning disabilities. A great learning and humbling experience, lessons I learned which has improved my life.
A sound education and performing to the best of ones ability is the key to success. It takes all parties to be involved. However the truth of how much effort is put in is only known by the student when looking into a mirror and asking the question, "Am I really buying into the system?"

Geography is a subject to be experienced, we interact unknowningly with Geography every day.
History, have we learned from our past? Critical thinking, interpretation, analysis, motivation?
Tourism, the worlds biggest industry!
Life Orientation, underrated, teaches us to resolve conflict, decision making, careers, personal wellbeing.

I adapt my teaching methods to the needs of the individual. Students differ according to their ability, some need definite structure, set boundaries, others are visual or auditory leraners, but there will always be a bit of fun in a lesson.
Modern technology gives us the ability to access a wide variety of up to date resources. Students are encouraged to participate, make suggestions which can be of interest.
Most important is the personal interaction and the interest I have in my students. Read less
