Questions for You

Q: What age range of students do you usually work with?

I teach a wide range of students (14-28 years old) and welcome anyone dedicated to improvement.

Q: How do you approach lesson planning and preparation?

I create personalized lesson plans for each student. These plans consider their knowledge level, current course, skills, and aptitude. Every session comes with assignments, and the next lesson builds on what they've learned before.

Q: How do you measure progress and assess learning outcomes for your students?

I track progress by checking assignments, answers, and participation in each session. If a student has a school test, I help them prepare with practice quizzes. For long-term students, I offer progress checks similar to mid-term exams.

Q: Do you provide regular homework and assignments, and how do you review and provide feedback on student work?

Yes, assignments are given for each session. The work is reviewed at the start of the next session and feedback, clarification and corrections are covered.

Q: What technology or resources do you use to enhance your lessons, particularly for online sessions?

For both online and in person sessions, I use video segments and activities, presentations and activities, games and worksheets and knowledge tests aligned with the students current level.

Q: Do you provide any additional support outside of scheduled lesson times, such as answering questions via email or phone?

This can be arranged on a student by student basis depending on additional support needed.

Q: Do you have any specific strategies for motivating students who may be struggling or disengaged with the subject material?

I typically evaluate the students current capabilities during the first meeting and then, through interaction and discussion, determine the cause of the student's struggling and adjust the approach to better engage and motivate the student with appropriate content.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning differences or special needs?

I have not had any experience with special needs students to date.
