My experience in education has primarily been as a full-time English instructor in the Tuscaloosa Public School System; an adjunct at the University of Alabama, Stillman College, and Shelton State Community College. I have tutored students in the college English laboratory and on the WyzAnt marketplace platform. WyzAnt tutorrs serve students who may be adolescents, young adults, or adults throughout the nation although I am located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

I have a Master's degree from the University of Alabama, hours in English from Clark Atlanta University, and an academic year on my doctorate in education at North Central University.

My diverse experiences with students of all levels, including post graduate students whom I have assisted in earning their degrees, separates me from most teachers. Read less

My teaching methodology utilizes Bloom's Taxonomy which includes learning and recalling facts, comprehending, analyzing, synthesizing, interpretating, drawing conclusions, and applying.

I tutor students on the basis of their level of knowledge and proceed progressively. For instance, as was occasionally the case with students who had difficulty with reading, I reviewed basic sight words, phonics, phonemes, the dictionary and syllabication before more progressive lessons in comprehension.
