Hello! My name is Deanna. I am an English Native speaker of mixed heritage (half Chinese, half English). I speak Cantonese as my second language and have basic Mandarin skills. I graduated with a music degree in Professional Musicianship from the British and Irish Modern Music Institute and went on to complete a 120-hour TEFL certificate.

I offer English lessons to both adults and children aged 2 and above. I have experience working as a NET kindergarten teacher in Hong Kong and Hangzhou, China, as well as over 3 years of private tuition experience. I can teach phonics, speaking, YLE, reading comprehension, grammar, and interview preparation.

For my younger students aged 2-3, lessons will incorporate games and activities to keep them engaged. For students aged 4 and above, I use a variety of worksheets, books, games, and writing tasks. My lessons are always tailored to the individual student's needs.

Whether you are a student looking to improve your speaking/listening skills with a Native speaker or a parent wanting your child to focus on phonics, English grammar, exam preparation, etc., I am here to help. My goal is to guide and develop each student's English skills so they can reach their full potential.
