Hi! I'm Carissa, and I'm looking to teach students in biology. It was my favourite subject in school, and I achieved an A* in biology, chemistry, and physics for my IGCSE. Additionally, I earned an A* for IB biology Higher Level.

I completed a course in Molecular Biology at Harvard University Summer School and received the highest grade. Currently, I am a medical student, achieving several distinctions and ranking in the top 10-20% in multiple exams.

However, learning is not solely about the results. I firmly believe that when the subject is enjoyable for the student, good results will follow. While biology might not be everyone's favorite subject, I hope to make it easier and more enjoyable for my students.

I will start the lesson with a casual chat about the previous session. Questions will be asked during it to ensure that students remember the content from the previous session.

What does the student want to cover? The lesson can be aimed to:
1) Target students' questions, or
2) cover unfamiliar syllabus content if unsure.

I will determine whether the student is a visual, auditory, or text learner and adapt to that.

I will assign some homework and recap. I aim to create a safe, relaxed learning environment. Read less
