I am an Early Childhood Assistant. I work in daycares with children with a wide range of abilities. I typically work with Toddlers and pre-schoolers but I have a lot of experience with school-agers as well! Some of my students have special needs and learning deficiencies, and it only makes me more invested in helping them. I am able to understand that everybody is different and has their preferred learning styles. I am passionate about teaching students the English language and how to improve their written skills as well.
I work in Pickering Ontario using the online platform. I will travel if necessary to students' homes.

I find that young students are uninterested in enhancing their English skills because of technology. This is why I try my best to engage students from day one. I do this by focusing on what each student deems interesting, or would be interested in learning about. I.E Beyblades are popular toys right now, and it is so easy for a lot of kids to talk about them. Why not write a story about a battle then? My teaching strategy consists of the students learning by teaching and demonstrating. Read less
