Personally, I keep up to date by following Cpp Con and watching podcasts/presentations from conventions.

Depending on whats required for each student, practice exercises and coding challenges can be given on the spot.

I have helped with projects involving game development, algorithms, data structure and software architecture.

The tools I use would mainly be the IDE either Visual Studio Code or Visual Studios.

Examples such as Game Engine Development.

Yes, it is not an issue.

Breakdown the issue into multiple different sections and tackle each section indivsually.

Generally I would give feedback on how I would have done things differently be it planning, thought process or implementation and this may happen during or after complettion.
