I am a professional linguist with over 30 years of experience as an interpreter, translator, English teacher, and public speaker. I graduated from Portland State University (Portland, Oregon, USA) with a BS in Psychology/Sociology and minors in Communications and Applied Linguistics. I also graduated from the US government Defense Language Institute (DLI) to become a US government interpreter in Europe. For the past 30 years, I have used my skills and knowledge to help people communicate, learn, change habits, build solutions, and achieve their goals. I have taught English in several foreign countries as well as in the USA. I have also taught remedial English to Americans with communication problems. Since 2010, I have taught English full-time, both online and offline, to thousands of students of all ages and levels in 40 different countries. I have taught English for companies, universities, primary and secondary schools, teaching agencies, language centers, language clubs, immigration programs, and private individuals.

Besides my work, a few other subjects and activities I love spending time on include travelling, exploring cultures, reading, writing, discussion and debate, languages, psychology, sociology, education, science, history, international affairs, political science, current affairs, law, medicine, philosophy, biking, skating, hiking, camping, horseback riding, dogs, cats, nature, ice hockey, and maximising human potential.
