I have taught in tutorial centers and now international schools in Hong Kong for nearly 10 years. I am a fully registered HK EDB teacher. I enjoy teaching all ages and believe in creating strong working relationships with my students by encouraging accountability, reflection, and self-directed learning. I can workshop and train a child to overcome any challenge - be it written or oral.

Tutoring is often needs-based with kids and parents, as they have a specific challenge they need to overcome, such as an exam or a general skill like reading or writing. Addressing these needs can be quite straightforward, such as taking the time to understand homework or doing worksheets to practice a given skill.

However, the approach to teaching is just as important. I foster independent learners through inquiry-based teaching, and many of my former students have become great orators. Read less
