I am currently a Senior Research Associate at the University of Johannesburg. I conduct research on learning and educational development and serve as an editor for journals and books in the fields of education, transformation, and democracy. I assist with study and learning skills, various subjects, exam preparation, essay and assignment writing, research proposals, and the completion and submission of assignments, theses, final projects, and dissertations.
My areas of expertise include academic writing, research epistemology, methodologies, methods, and theories, critical thinking, study and academic skills, engaging with ideas, formulating research questions, deconstructing ideas and theories, and more. I have over twenty years of experience preparing students for university in the UK, Israel, France, and South Africa, and have supported colleagues with publications and teaching.
I have mentored disadvantaged students in South Africa, helping them achieve degrees and secure employment. I also work with researchers of all levels to publish their ideas and supervise student completion of degrees. I have conducted workshops on university success, PhD research, and academic careers.
I earned my Ph.D. in education, psychology, and philosophy from the University of Bath in England. My research focused on developing dialectical methods for conceptualizing human existence and empowerment. Through my work, I aim to empower individuals and communities to lead more fulfilling lives.
In addition to my Ph.D., I completed an individual post-graduate program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. This program critiqued existing methods in education and social science as dehumanizing and non-democratic, and sought to develop more humanizing and participatory approaches.
My academic background includes a B.Sc. and Honors degrees in Psychology with French Studies from London, England. I supported myself through teaching and tutoring privately, at universities, and schools. Since coming to South Africa in 2012, I have focused on researching democracy, transformation, and education.
I have over twenty years of experience teaching and tutoring in various countries, including France, Israel, the UK, the US, and South Africa. Read less

I use the dialectical method. I formulate the most suitable questions, and we answer them. We engage in transforming conversations, critically engage with texts, formulate theories, and work on validating and invalidating them. We read, write, discuss, and critique what we read. We complete assignments together and discuss them critically and in great detail. I explain everything in great detail. Read less
